Pink Floral Canvas

Hi folks!

It's March already! I can't believe I haven't posted almost anything in the last two months. I definitely need to organize this month. Anyway enough about me and let's get to the point.

This personalized canvas has tons of layering and items on it. First the background is a random cardstock from one the paper pads. I have actually lost the main cover of it so I can't recall the name. I distressed the entire paper to match it the photography. Then I took a Tim Holtz Stencil and add a white texture paste on few areas of the pattern paper. Btw it's homemade and the texture is so smooth and dries up so quickly. You won't even believe what it is made of! I will type up the recipe in my next post. It's super easy to make and I bet you will certainly have everything at your home. Back to the canvas now, after adding the paste I sprayed using Distress Stain Spray.

For the embellishments, I have used Dusty Attic Frame and 'Little Moments' chipboard, They are my new favorites! I painted them using Distress Paints. The frame is painted on with Antique Linen and phrase is by Black Soot.

Next I added few Recollection and Prima flowers. Butterflies, leaves and flourish branch are cut by Silhouette Cameo.

I hope you like today's post! I am thinking of coming few reviews which hopefully I will be posting soon!

Toddles for now!

Winged Beauties Memory Canvas

Hi, everyone!

I've been selected as a new DT member of Crafters’ Palette and I am thrilled to be a part of the team. For my very first post, I have chosen a personalized canvas.

I made a photo canvas using the bunch of items. At first, I painted the sides of my plain white canvas using some Distress Paint in Walnut Stain. Then I took some patterned cardstock, and distressed iit using some Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo Distress Inks around the edges. I then used a Script Background Stamp on different areas of my background to give it a vintage feel. Once the paint was all dried up, I added the patterned cardstock to the canvas with some liquid glue.

To give a bit of a dimension, I layered two pieces of cardstock behind my photograph, and gave them some definition by inking and distressing the edges.

Next thing was to add the embellishments! I painted my title using Walnut Stain Distress Paint. I also added some flowers to my canvas, and a few metal embellishments. I die-cut some Winged Beauties Butterflies using my Sizzix Big Shot, and stuck everything in place.

I hope you enjoyed my project. See you next time!

Vintage Apology Card

Hello!

I'm back after way too long and this time I am trying to manage my schedule better than the last year. I hope it goes well! Anyway, so here I am posting my very first project for January & this is my current FAV. I liked how it turned out!

First of all, I have used Ranger Watercolor Paper. Honestly speaking if you are working with Distress Inks. You have to give them a TRY! You will definitely see a major difference between using an regular paper and a watercolor paper. Also, the one thing I liked about Ranger Watercolor Paper is that it has two sides one is smoother and other is the textured one. Here I went with the textured side, distressed it with Vintage Photo and did the edges with Black Soot. Then layered a Tim Holtz Latticework Stencil on top and inked it with Walnut Stain. Next I sprayed it with Distress Stain in Gathered Twigs. This was my first time using Spray Stains and I loved how they make the entire background pop. I absolutely love the effect!

For the metal embellishments, I chose Prima's clock and Tim Holtz's compass.

Leafy branches and cog are Sizzix dies. I have Distress Painted the two branches in Walnut Stain.

Top-right framelits are again from Sizzix. I have over-layered two frames. I have used black glitter sheet for the base and on the top comes the text. It has been die-cut on a plain paper which has been later distressed in Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain

In the end I have glued some paper flowers in Maroon which went totally well with the vintage look.

I hope you like it. Drop in some love in the comments below!

An Orange Effect Photo Canvas

Presenting one my favorites again, this time it's a Personalized Photo Canvas, I really enjoyed making it. I have been using Distress Paints a lot lately on wooden frames and canvas, Here I have painted it with Antique Linen. I love the soft tone it gives.

Then I embellished it with some flowers, die-cuts, lace and so much more.

I hope you like it!

Shabby Blues Canvas

Hello everyone!

I created this few weeks back using various of items. To start with, I have used Distress Paint in Weathered Wood to paint the canvas. I love the matte effect it gives! If you're into painting or mixed media projects, you have to use Distress Paints. They are just superb!

Then I have used a felt design in white which I bought from a local store months ago and it was not coming in use until I started making this. At the beginning, I painted the felt by Distress Paint but it didn't came out right so at the end I just turned it around and used the original white side.

After that, I topped it with few flowers by Recollections and die-cuts which are by Sizzix. I cut the small part of black wire, started rolling it and stopped when I came across just like what I wanted it to be. Later I filled the tiny jar with some silver glitter and printed out 'live' for it.

I loved how it turned out! I was pretty with the outcome.

Let me know what do you think about my project!

Tiptoe Through the Tulips Wooden Frame

Today I am posting a darker shade of frame. I have painted it with Distress Paint in Aged Mahogany. I love this color! It's so bold and beautiful! I have paired it with lighter color embellishments mostly beige with grey and mustard yellow. Metal corner by Tim Holtz is in dull copper tone.

Recollections flowers are used with few leafy Sizzix die-cuts. I am pretty much using it on every other project of mine.

Fuchsia Floret Wooden Frame

Hello again!

I am trilled to share this project with you all. This was the very first altered frame I did. I had this wooden frame since 5 or more years and its texture was getting darker and it started to look unclean. So, one day I thought why not I alter it and this is what I came out with.

Let's go through the products what I have used in here..

Firstly, I covered the entire frame with Distress Paint. I used Antique Linen in here to give a neutral look. Then I embellished it with various flowers. Few are from Prima Marketing and Recollections and rest I bought from a random store. Die-cuts are by Sizzix and metal corner is by Tim Holtz.

Secondly. instead of adding a plain paper. I took a pattern paper from DCWV Old World Stack and attached a twine in a twisted manner. Next I took a mini clip distressed it with the same paint to match it with the frame.

Lastly, I added a Photo Mat and a PCW Chalkboard Word Art

This way you can frame your favorite photos in style and make them last a lifetime.

I hope you enjoyed my post! See you next time!

By The Yellow Sand Wooden Frame

Howdy Folks!

Hope you all are well! It's been a bit late since I last posted. I have been so busy with my projects that I wasn't able to post regularly. Anyway, I thought of running a series on Altered Frames. Each day for about 4 days I would be posting a new Altered Frame. However, I already have posted one on 5th. You can check out that here

At first, I distressed the complete frame by Distress Paint. Here I have used 'Tumbled Glass'. Followed with some embellishments by Recollections, Prima Marketing and Tim Holtz. Those shiny leaves are made of plastic. It somewhat gives a aluminum finish. A little while back I purchased these from a sewing store in Riyadh. I was surprised to see the variety  they had. So I went on and purchased in various colors and shapes.

Then I took a pattern paper from DCWV Fresh Floral Stack and secured the twine.

In the end I added a mini clip and a photo mat.

Do let me know how did you like it!

Framed Memories Wooden Frame

Hello October!

My post was getting delayed due to severe work load. I am literally swamped with work!

SO-OOO! Here comes my newest made product - Personalized Photo Hanger! I made 5 of these! LOL! No kidding! I simply loved the idea! Rather than putting up a picture in a simple wooden frame why not do it with style.

Here is a close-up of the flowers. They are by Michaels and Recollections.

Looking forward for your feedback!

Indigo Ecstasy Mini Album

Howdy Folks!

It's almost the end of September! I hope it went well for all.

Today I am posting a fun mini album cover I did few days ago. It was fun making this and due to shortage of time I wasn't able to click inside pictures. It was an urgent order! It was a vintage looking album. I used DCWV 'Old World Stack' paper pad for this. Btw it's my second buy! I am totally in love with the paper. It's so beautiful!

Dies used are by Sizzix, of course! Perks of being a distributor! I end up buying a lot of dies. Sigh!

On 30th I would be posting again for PCW. Just giving you heads up! Don't miss out the post!

Floral Days Canvas

&&& here comes another floral canvas. I have used pretty much same products like in the previous one. Papers flowers are from a local store except the flat grey one is from Prima Marketing.

Destiny tag is from Tim Holtz idea-ology collection which I have tied using a twine and bottom-left stamped image is by Stamper Anonymous. I have stamped it using Distress Embossing Ink and Perfect Pearls in Pewter. I am totally in love with the product! It gives a perfect pearly effect to the image.

Brightest Hue Altered Box

Here's another altered box which I did recently! I have covered lid with a 'Old World Stack' DCWV cardstock and distressed and stenciled the rest of the box.

I have put an oval frame in creamy color. I have recently purchased this framelit set and I have been using on every other project I have been making nowadays. OBSESSED! Next I have arranged few silver leave stems and dull gold butterfly die-cuts and paper flowers on to the lid. I felt something was missing so added a rusty looking vintage key. I loved how it completed the whole thing!

Embellishments are by Tim Holtz and Recollection and die-cuts of leave stems and butterfly are of course by Sizzix.

Till next time!

Summer Sunshine Canvas

Hi there!

I'm here with my new post and this time it's small sized canvas. This was the very first time I tried doing the background of a canvas by distress inks. I think it turned out pretty great! What do you think?

Firstly, I covered it with the lighter shade of distress ink and on the top of it I did a bit of a stenciling by blue and red shades of distress inks to give a bright summer look.

Leaves, butterfly and the frame are thinlits from Sizzix.

I recently bought these flowers in various colors from a local store in Riyadh and I simply can't get over them. Just giving you a heads up you would be seeing a lot of them in my future posts.

'Sunshine' is again a thinlit from Sizzix.

This project hardly took 20 minutes and the end-result was pretty cool. Hope you like it!

Royal Themed Birthday Party

Heyya!

I'm about to share something really different and which meant a big deal to me and my team. This was our very first birthday event done by TWS. This project have been keeping us busy for the last 2 months but I have to say it was so worth it. It was our client son's first birthday and chosen theme was Royal. We were honored that she chose us for event services.

There were basically two tables; Candy Station (main table) and other one was for Favors. As it was for a baby boy we chose to go with Royal Blue and Gold, Silver and Bronze giving a touch of Metallics.

Each and every die used here is from Sizzix. All the labels were handmade - in short everything was entirely handmade, from candy boxes to tags.

Royal Themed Candy Station decorated with Brass and Gold props filled with candies and chocolates for the invited guests.

Floral Friendship Card

Evening to all!

I made this card last year, way back in November. I have used a vintage cardstock. It's by DCWV. I absolutely love the entire paper pad! This one consist of some great colors.

Btw it was the very first paper pad I had ever bought in my entire life.

List of all the supplies used is below!

DCWV Old World Stack (12x12", 48 sheets)
Sizzix Sizzlits Die Set 3PK - Decorative Label Set #4
Recollection Floral Embellishments
Paper Doily in White (soaked in Coffee to get a vintage look)
Brownish-Grey Lace Random Gold Beads

Leaves are cut outs of 2-color cardstock. I ordered a bunch of these from Ebay. They had no name on it (Sorry about that!). They are about 6x6". Perfect to work with smaller sized cards.
